Troy A. Archie received his undergraduate degree in Business and Economics from Lafayette College in 1991. He earned his Juris Doctor from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, in Camden in 1996.

In 1993, Mr. Archie served as a legal intern at the Camden County Prosecutor's Office, where he was responsible for legal research and writing involving search and seizure, child abuse and forfeiture law. From 1994 until 1996 he served as a law clerk to Aaron Smith, Esq. and Emmett E. Primas, Jr., Esq. of Smith & Primas in Camden.

He began his legal career in 1996 as an associate at Smith and Primas, handling criminal, family and municipal matters and carrying a large share of the firm's research and brief writing. He maintained a solo practice in the City of Camden from 1998 until joining Afonso & Archie, P.C. in 2012.

Over the course of his career Mr. Archie has handled a substantial number of criminal matters at both the state and federal level, along with municipal court matters throughout New Jersey. He is a Contract Advisor with the National Football League Players Association and has represented professional athletes in contractual matters.

Away from the office, Mr. Archie helped organize a free football clinic for children in the City of Camden each summer from 2005 through 2011. A football coach at Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden for more than ten years, he is now a board member and coach with the Winslow Township Maullers in Sicklerville, where he lives with his wife Evelyn and their three children.
